Since its launch, Jebsen and Jessen Packaging has become the partner for some of the largest manufacturers in Vietnam, bringing best-in-class expertise to meet customer needs. First launched in 2006 with 15 employees, the business now employs over 386 staff. “Vietnam is one of the bright sparks of South East Asia and growth has been exponential. With a growing number of international firms investing in Vietnam and leveraging the country’s bright and able workforce, there is a need for reliable and good quality suppliers of packaging material especially for the electrical and electronics sector. We are excited to be part of this growth and have invested in a second plant which will start operations in January 2017,” said Regional Managing Director Chui Tau Siong.
Adding on, General Director Loh Chin Joo said, “There is a strong demand in the market for packaging that is environmentally sustainable and cost effective. Because of our technology and scalability, we have been able to address customer needs and pull ahead of the competition. Recently, we helped a major brand owner to create a packaging solution within three days, far outpacing the industry standards of two weeks. Bringing together best-in-class expertise from around the world, the team developed Airdex, the world’s lightest pallet, for Samsung which enabled the Korean conglomerate to see substantial savings in airfreight costs and reduce its environmental impact, while improving the overall safety of its logistics chain.”
